Ingredients

  • 1 Tribeca Oven Rustic French Batard bite-sized cubes
  • 2 tbsp Oil divided
  • 1 lb Ground Chicken
  • 1 tbsp Italian Seasoning Mix
  • 2 tsp Salt divided
  • 1 tsp Ground Black Pepper divided
  • 3 cups Baby Spinach firmly packed
  • 3 cups Cubed Sweet Potatoes frozen
  • 6 Eggs large
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 2 cups Italian Cheese Mix shredded

Instructions

  • Preheat a conventional oven to 350℉. Thaw the Tribeca Oven Bread French Batard for 15 – 30 minutes and cut into bite-sized cubes.
  • Spray a 9x13” baking dish with oil and spread ⅔ of the bread cubes on the bottom of the dish.
  • In a large sauté pan, heat 1 tbsp. of the oil and brown the ground chicken.
  • Add the spinach and cook until wilted. Season with the Italian seasoning, 1 tsp. of the salt and ½ tsp. of the ground black pepper.
  • Remove the chicken and spinach mix from the pan and place in a medium mixing bowl.
  • Add the remaining 1 tbsp. of oil to the pan. Sauté the sweet potatoes from frozen until thoroughly cooked, about 10 minutes. Add the sweet potatoes to the chicken and spinach mixture and mix thoroughly.
  • Spread the chicken mixture evenly over the bread cubes in the baking dish.
  • In the same bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, Italian cheese mix, 1 tsp. salt, and ½ tsp. ground black pepper. Put the remaining ⅓ of the bread cubes in the egg mixture and lightly coat. Pour the mixture evenly over the baking dish. Bake in the oven for 45-50 minutes. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

*Strata is a type of casserole dish popular for brunch that consists of bread, eggs, cheese, and any other fillings of choice such as meat and vegetables. Strata means “layers” and indicates that the bread and filling are layered before the egg mixture is poured on top. The casserole dish can be prepared beforehand and sit overnight in the refrigerator before baking (add an additional 10 minutes of baking time, if doing so from refrigerator temperature).
